I am pleased to announce that my project, Timepass Gateway, has been selected for the ICAS 13 exhibition, ‘The Waiting Room,’ in Surabaya, Indonesia. This exhibition critically examines liminal spaces—transitional areas within the urban fabric that facilitate social interaction.

Timepass Gateway is a carefully designed infrastructure situated at the edge of an urban village in Borivali, Mumbai. It functions as an entrance to residential quarters while simultaneously offering spaces for pause and interaction. The structure provides shade for a steel workshop, seating for an adjacent paan and chai shop, and facilities for drying clothes. The lower level is designated for practical uses, such as workshop storage, while the upper level encourages social engagement among residents.

The ICAS 13 exhibition offers a platform for showcasing architectural concepts that challenge conventional spatial paradigms. I am honored to contribute to this global discourse on the role of architecture in enhancing urban social spaces.
